These terms explain how we sell to you, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return. They apply every time you browse byearthnaturals.com or place an order with us. Please take a moment to read them — by placing an order, you are agreeing to them.

Who we are

“by earth — natural living” is a handmade natural products brand based in Egypt. We formulate and make our own products in small batches across three collections: wajhi for the face, jismi for the body, and baiti for the home.

Our website address is https://byearthnaturals.com, and you can reach us any time at hello@byearthnaturals.com. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean “by earth”, and “you” means the person visiting our site or placing an order.

Agreeing to these terms

By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to them. If you do not agree with any part of them, we kindly ask that you do not use the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations. Nothing written here takes away any right the law gives you as a consumer in Egypt.

Who can order from us

To place an order you need to be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract under Egyptian law. If you are ordering on behalf of someone else, please make sure they are happy with these terms too.

We currently sell and deliver within the Arab Republic of Egypt. The areas we can reach are the ones offered at checkout.

Our products, honestly described

Everything we sell is handmade in small batches from natural ingredients — camel hump tallow, plant oils, butters, waxes and essential oils among them. Nature is not manufactured to look identical every time, and neither are we.

This means the colour, texture, firmness or aroma of a product may vary slightly from one batch to the next, and may change with the weather. We see those small differences as part of the beauty of natural products, and they are not considered a defect.

Please store your products away from direct sunlight and heat, keep water out of jars, use clean and dry hands, and use each product within the period stated on its label.

Your skin, and a word about care

Our products are cosmetic products. They are made to cleanse, nourish and care for the skin, hair and home. They are not medicines, they are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and nothing on this site should be read as medical advice.

Everyone’s skin is different, and even natural ingredients can cause sensitivity in some people. Please read the full ingredient list of each product before you buy, and patch test on a small area before using something new — particularly if your skin is reactive, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under medical care. If a reaction occurs, stop using the product and speak to your doctor.

Our products are for external use only, and should be kept out of reach of children.

Product information and photography

We describe our products as carefully and as truthfully as we can. Photographs are taken to show the product honestly, but screens differ, and the colour or shade you see may not be an exact match for what arrives.

Because we work in small batches, a product may sell out or become temporarily unavailable. If we cannot fulfil something you have ordered, we will contact you and either offer an alternative or refund that item in full.

Prices and currency

All prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping is calculated separately and shown clearly at checkout before you confirm your order.

Prices may change from time to time, but a change will never affect an order we have already confirmed. Very occasionally a price may be listed in error. If that happens, we will contact you before dispatching, and you are free to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. The confirmation you receive is an acknowledgement that we have your order, not yet our acceptance of it. A contract between us is formed only when we confirm that your order has been prepared and handed over for delivery.

Until that point we may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we decline, we will tell you why.

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always do our best, but once an order has left us we cannot recall it — you can still return it under the section below.

Payment

You can pay using any of the payment methods offered at checkout. The full amount, including shipping, is always shown to you before you confirm your order.

If payment is not completed, or if an order is refused on delivery, the order is cancelled and the products return to us.

Shipping and delivery

We deliver through our courier partners. Shipping charges and available delivery options are shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

Orders are prepared by hand, so please allow a little time before dispatch. Any delivery times we give are estimates made in good faith, not guarantees — courier schedules, traffic, weather and official holidays can all move things by a day or two.

Please give us a complete address and a phone number that is switched on, as our couriers will usually call before arriving. If delivery fails after reasonable attempts because the address was incorrect or nobody was reachable, the parcel comes back to us and any re-delivery may be charged again.

Risk in the products passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the address you gave us.

When your order arrives

Please check your parcel when it arrives and make sure everything is there and undamaged. If something is broken, missing or not what you ordered, tell us as soon as possible at hello@byearthnaturals.com, with photographs of the item and the packaging. That helps us sort it out quickly.

Returns and your 14-day right

Under Article 40 of Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, you may return a product within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason and at no cost to you, as long as the product is returned in the same condition you received it.

For us, that means the item is unused, unopened and with its seal intact, in its original packaging, with any gifts or free items included. Like all skincare and personal-care sellers, and for reasons of health and hygiene, we cannot accept the return of a product once its seal has been broken or it has been used — unless the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered.

To start a return, write to us at hello@byearthnaturals.com with your order number and we will tell you what happens next. Please do not send anything back before speaking to us.

Once we receive and check the item, we will refund you within 14 days, using the method we agree with you. Shipping charges are refunded where the return is our fault; otherwise the original shipping charge is not refunded.

If something is faulty or incorrect

If a product arrives damaged, leaking, wrongly labelled, past its date, or is simply not the item you ordered, it is our mistake to fix. Contact us and we will replace the item, or refund it in full — including the shipping you paid — whichever you prefer. This is in addition to the rights Egyptian consumer protection law gives you, and you will never be charged for returning a faulty item.

Natural variation in colour, scent or texture between batches is not a defect — but if you are ever unsure, please just ask us. We would rather have the conversation.

Offers, discount codes and gifts

From time to time we run offers, bundles or discount codes. Unless we say otherwise, each code is for one use per customer, cannot be combined with another offer, applies only while stock lasts, and has no cash value. We may withdraw or amend an offer at any time, though never for an order already confirmed.

If you return an item bought as part of a bundle or a gift-with-purchase, the free or discounted item should come back with it, or its value will be deducted from your refund.

Your account

You can order as a guest or create an account with us. If you create one, please keep your details accurate and your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

We may suspend or close an account if it is being used for fraud, abuse, resale without our agreement, or anything unlawful.

Our brand and our words

The name “by earth”, the collection names wajhi, jismi and baiti, our logo, our packaging, our photography and everything written on this site belong to us and are protected under Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No. 82 of 2002.

You are very welcome to share our photos and words on social media with credit to “by earth”. Please do not copy them for commercial use, resell our products, or present our formulations, text or images as your own without written permission from us.

Reviews and anything you post

We would love to hear how you find our products, and honest reviews — warm or critical — are always welcome. What we cannot publish is anything unlawful, offensive, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights, and we may remove such content.

By posting a review, photograph or comment, you give us permission to display and share it on our site and social channels, with credit where possible.

Using the site properly

Please use our website for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt it, scrape it, upload anything harmful, or use it in any way that breaches Egyptian Anti-Cyber and Information Technology Crimes Law No. 175 of 2018.

We work to keep the site available and secure, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Your privacy

We collect only what we need to get your order to you, and we handle it in line with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. We share your name, address and phone number with our courier so they can deliver to you, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Links to other websites

Our site may link to other websites, and our social channels live on platforms we do not own. Those places have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content.

What we are responsible for

We take real care over what we make and how we describe it, and we stand behind our products. If we get something wrong, our responsibility to you is limited to the value of the order in question — whether that means replacing it, refunding it, or both.

We are not responsible for a reaction caused by an ingredient listed on the label where no patch test was carried out, for damage caused by using a product other than as directed or after its date, or for indirect losses. None of this limits your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, and nothing here excludes our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

Things outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including courier disruption, extreme weather, power or internet outages, strikes, import restrictions, official decisions or public emergencies. If such an event affects your order, we will let you know and, if the delay is long, you may cancel for a full refund.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products, our shipping or the law change. The version published on this page at the moment you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

If something goes wrong

Please talk to us first. Most things are solved with a message. Write to hello@byearthnaturals.com with your order number and we will come back to you as quickly as we can.

You also have the right to complain to the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency on 19588 or through its website. We hope you will not need to, but you should know that the option is there.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from an order placed with us, are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the competent Egyptian courts have jurisdiction.

These terms are published in English. If we publish an Arabic version and the two differ, the Arabic version prevails before the Egyptian authorities and courts.
