Hi, I’m Mona, and I’m the founder and formulator behind “by earth”. I’d love to tell you a bit about how it came to be, because in many ways, it is simply a reflection of who I have always been.

My story with natural living started when I was very young. I was 13 or 14 when I began making my own skincare. I was curious about what went onto my skin and I was fascinated by the idea that I could create my own natural moisturizers. I never really felt drawn to conventional, store-bought creams. Instead, I wanted to understand, research, experiment, formulate and create. And so I did.

And then, one day, many years later, i discovered camel hump tallow … and everything changed.

After decades of making creams with the conventional cocoa butter, shea butter, mango butter and other great natural ingredients, camel hump tallow took my formulations to an impressive new level. I was fascinated by how it felt and the effect it had on the skin. I realized I had found something truly special. And that was the moment i thought: maybe it’s time to share what I’ve been making all these years.

That thought became “by earth - natural living”.

My love for natural living was never going to stop at skincare. So naturally “by earth” grew beyond it, too. I’ve wanted my home and the things i use every day to follow the same philosophy. Whenever possible I make my own products to use at home, and when I can’t, I look to buy more natural alternatives to try to limit harsh or unnecessary chemicals. This is what inspired the “baiti” collection, and it’s a collection I am excited to continue to grow over time.

Every “by earth” product is formulated by me and has a place in my own life. I use them every day for myself and some of the “wajhi” collection has also found its way into my Neolifting Therapy practice, where my love for natural skincare comes together with my passion for natural ways of rejuvenating and caring for the face. Becoming a Neolifting Therapist, and before that a Face Yoga Coach, grew from the same curiosity that led me to “by earth”: always looking beyond the conventional and exploring different, more natural ways to care for ourselves.
